Drum roll please...
Congratulations to Mrs. Jennifer Hartwell for being promoted to the role of Assistant Director here at Small Steps. We are very excited to have her as part of our leadership team. If you've had any experiences with Mrs. Jen you'll already know that she is patient and kind. She has a heart of gold and the kids love her dearly. She is the type of teacher everyone would want their child to have and by being promoted to this role within our organization, we know that she will be able to help others become that type of teacher.
Jennifer was born in Georgia, grew up in Texas, Arizona, and Illinois but then spent most of her years in the Chicago Suburbs. She has always looked up to her mom, who was a great role model to her. Jen would help her mom in her classroom and has loved working with children ever since. Mrs. Jen has many goals, both personally and professionally. She hopes to one day build a new house, and open an in home childcare center of her own one day.
Jen and her husband Dave are expecting their first child, Adalynn Rose in July and she hopes to have more children one day.
Mrs. Jen loves to craft in her spare time. She also has a beautiful voice and you can often find her singing to the children or with her co-workers! Jen's family and friends describe her as sweet, caring and fun. And maybe a little sassy at times.
Jen has been a very important part of our team since she was hired almost 2 years ago. She is a hard worker, and is very dependable. She always gets the job done. But more importantly than that, Jen can always be counted on to do the right thing when it comes to working with the children. She is the type of teacher we should all strive to be and we are very blessed that she moved out to Texas and became a part of our Small Steps Squad.
